Norway in a Nut Shell: Fjord Tour Posted on September 23rd, 2011 by

Now this is what Norway is all about! Pristine, clear, blue water and snow capped mountain tops. I marveled at the sight of these beautiful mountains and valleys because Minnesota is so FLAT, well at least where I have been. First we, my buddy Reed and I, took a train to Voss, then a bus through some hair pin turns from Voss to Gudvanngen, then from there boarded a boat to Flåm, then a train to Myrdal to Voss then back to Bergen. It was one hell of an adventure though, just the buss ride and the boat ride, but even more of an adventure because we missed our scheduled ride for the train from Flåm to Myrdal because we were pigging out at the first buffet we’ve seen in Norway. We got on the next train to Myrdal and almost got stuck there because we were not sure which train to take to Voss. Luckily, a conductor showed up just in time to tell us that the next train was leaving in 1 minute! We booked it to the train and we were home free. We were super behind schedule but we made it home safe and sound.

Again, pictures cannot even begin to show what we saw on the trip! Here’s a few for example, find more on my Facebook.

I happened upon your blog while viewing the Hecua website. I loved your accounts of your “adventure” so far and the photos as well. Keep up the good work, I’ll be checking back often.
