Today we finally made our way through the mountains to the Pacific side of Costa Rica to go to the beach called Jaco. On our way to the beach we stopped to walk across a bridge and we saw tons of ALLIGATORS! They were just sun-bathing on the beach and hanging out in the water. When we got to the beach it was very hot and we all were looking forward to swimming in the ocean. The ocean down here is very warm, like bathwater warm. We had fun riding the waves and jumping in the tide. For the rest of the day we laid on the beach and swam in the ocean. Jaco is a very touristy area so we didn’t buy much, but enjoyed lunch and ice cream later on in the day. Covered in sand and salt we made the long journey back to Carrillos. I’m sure we will all go to bed early today as we are very drained from all the excitement and the sun.
