From one Saturday to the next, it seems impossible to believe how different things can be. On Saturday, February 8, we gathered at the Hyatt Place hotel in Bloomington and, after a few hours of orientation, went as a group to Red Lobster for dinner. The outdoor temperature was below zero as we rushed to and from the hotel shuttle van.
Fast forward to Saturday, February 15. We all took the Penang Rapid Bus from the USM campus gate into Georgetown and, after a treasure hunt activity, had a group lunch at the Ee Beng Chinese Vegetarian restaurant on Dickens Street. The air conditioned restaurant felt great after the 90-degree heat outside.
