Hola Family and Friends,
Today was like many of our other days here in Chimbote. We taught in the morning and the afternoon. However, our siesta was a little bit different. After eating our lunch we were able to walk around Chimbote to donate two wooden beds that we assembled last night. The families that we delivered to lived in homes made of straw and cardboard and were in desperate need of another bed. One family had five people sleeping in one bed. Both families were extremely grateful to recieve their new beds, and it felt great to contribute to the community.
We look forward to our upcoming days in Chimbote.
